Kzinti Early Fusion Warp Fleet.

Like many space faring races, the Kzinti started out with Fusion powered Warp Drive. Speeds attainable were in the region of Warp 2 and range was limited to how much Deutronium fuel was carried by any particular starship. 

The Kzinti naval fleet between 1900's and the introduction of matter anti-matter powered Warp Drive, after 2050, all Kzinti starships used this type of propulsion.

The Kzinti Fusion Warp Drive comprised of a series of Warp coils directly fed by a large Fusion reactor. This engine also provided sublight propulsion both by the exhaust venting of Photons, Helium and plasma plus by using the Warp coils to generate a Sub Space Field around the vessel in order to decrease its apparent mass in relation to the rest of the universe thus cheating the effects of relativity. 

To extend the range of these types of vessels the Kzinti established refineries near gas giant planets or any other source of Hydrogen gas or ice. These extracted the Deutronium isotopes required for fuel, which was distributed by a tanker fleet to refueling stations throughout the Kzinti Hegomny.

Weapons technolgy had only just evolved the Particle Beam Cannon into the short ranged Disrupter, the charging and holding of which stressed the power generating capabilities of these warships considerably.

Therefore reliance was mainly on missiles for space combat.

Defences were armour with a limited type of shielding based on a charged particle bubble surrounding the ship.
 
With their arch enemies, the Lyrans and Klingons operating starships of similar technology, this wasn't such a problem during this period. 

Steps to install:
-----------------
(1) Unpack zipped file.

(2) Move the model folder to Starfleet Comamnd/Assets/Models folder. If you're smart enough to have all the races in seperate folders then place this ship in the Federation folder.

(3) Copy the Shiplist fragment and paste it into the appropriate race and part of your Shiplist file in Starfleet Command/Assets/Specs/Sfbspc13.txt

(4) Modify the model folder references to suit your own SFC models directory structure. 


NOTE: You must have at least one stock SFC game ship in human player squadrons to use this ship in multiplayer games. However, AI player squadrons are not bound by this restiction/problem and can have all three ships as K-BRG if desired. 

These ship has been put under the Klingon F for Freighters part of the SFBSPC13.TXT, so that it can be called up for use in scripts using the FMSE (Fleet Model Script Editor) software add on by Eagle Eye Software. If you want to actually be able to select this ship, in normal SFC select ships, you will have to move it into the FF, CL, CA or DN part of the listing.
